Photo Review: Sway Baby, Mark McGilvray, Postmark @ The El(P)

Sway Baby
Saturday night brought warm static vinyl spinning to bass thumping energy as Otonabeats and Illectric City Soundsystem returned to take over The El P once again and provided nothing short of what they're known for: an electric, yet inviting hug.

Mark McGilvray
That statement may be confusing if you have never attended an Otonabeats event - this is a community that is diverse across the spectrum, provides a comfortable space for you to let loose and authentically be yourself.

Postmark
The night kicked off with Postmark, who played some remarkable tracks that he had been curating since he was a teenager. Each record was handled with care and played with precision as if they were waiting for this exact moment to wash over the crowd.

Next, Mark McGilvray took over the decks. Pumping out a myriad of house tracks that built the energy everyone could feel. He guided the crowded room on a journey through some of his personal favourites and classic tunes. Each one having the audience begging him for more. He delivered.

Sway Baby closed out the night, captivating the dance floor from start to finish with a genre-blending set. Only adding to what was built from earlier in the night - feeding non-stop energy with the crowd matching that energy every step of the way.
